EARTHSEED is an imaginary religion created by sci-fi and speculative fiction writer Octavia E. Butler. Inspired by her world building we created a series of AI images with heavy influences on vintage sci-fi illustrations and the texts and books of notable and akin authors such as Joanna Russ, Ursula K. Le Guin, James Tiptree Jr and Angélica Gorodischer. Writers and works that always dealt with ecology and ecocides, gender/genderless roles, climate apocalipse, sentient ethics + hybrid worlds (and sharp critiques of authoritarianism/monolithic cultures).
